Hello again my astute readers!

I have some very cool news today!

First of all, I totally redesigned my web site! Take a look!

There’s not more header to get in the way of my headline, and it’s a single column instead of two column. I have two sign up boxes, one at the top just under my audio so they can sign up after they listen, and one at the bottom after my brief description, so they can sign up at the bottom because people are lazy and don’t want to scroll all the way back up!

But here’s what’s really cool. Here’s a very nice tool to generate traffic to any page you want exposure too… totally free… and totally easy… and totally unobtrusive. In short, I love it!

I was searching around for some sort of worthwhile traffic exchange, (I found some pretty crappy ones) and then I stumbled into this, which isn’t even really a traffic exchange at all!

Take a look! It’s called Instant Buzz, and basically what you do is install a little tab on the top of your browser, and it shows little text ads up there. For every 10 pages you visit, you get one exposure to your own text ad.

Now, that might seem like a lot to surf… but trust me… that is NOTHING. I downloaded it about an hour ago and I’ve already got almost 100 text impressions!

I think this is a totally worthwhile tool for you affiliates out there! You barely notice it, and you get some exposure to your site!

What I really like is that nothing is forced. If someone has interest in your ad, they click your text and your conversion rate will be very high.

Now, when you install it (totally free) the company presents you with a one time offer to upgrade to an elite membership where you can make your text ads color and a bunch of other things.

That sounded great to me, except being the start up affiliate marketers that we are (If you’re following along I expect you’re probably learning the ropes as I go along and don’t have tons of money!) I passed on the offer for now.

So, there you have it! I’ve got some nice extra exposure for no extra work! Again, I highly suggest you check it out.

I’ll be back later with more updates. I have to redo my page audio and look into some good manual traffic exchanges. (I stay away from auto traffic exchanges. They give you almost NO REAL traffic at all.)

Why hello again!

Well, I haven’t been able to do very much because of family being here, but soon enough I’ll be back on track.

I’m not happy with my conversion rate. At all.

I’m going to change my page around… a LOT. I think I might make it even much more simpler.

Now, I know I’m going to make it into a 1-column squeeze page instead of what it is now, and I’m changing the font to Georgia as well.

We’ll see how that works!

As soon as my family leaves, I’ll get back to writing articles and actively promoting this!

My Astute Marketers,

I’m a little disappointed today. I checked my opt-in conversion rate, and AWeber states that it’s only 16.9%! What an outrage! I give them audio, a great headline, a free report, a form above the fold, and I get only about 17%!

That won’t stand my friends, that won’t stand.

So, I’m going to try a few different techniques to increase my subscriber base.

First, I added a yellow background under my opt-in form. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that sooner.

Next, I’m going to change my audio around a little bit I think. I’ll state “thanks for visiting my page” toward the front and make it sound a little more friendly perhaps.

Lastly, I’m toying with the idea of NOT starting the audio automatically. I’ll see what happens.

Did I just say lastly? Well, this is the REAL lastly… I think I’m going to play around with the heading a bit. Right now it says ABrecommends. I think I’m going to change it to say something about headlines or internet marketing.

Hopefully with these techniques combined I’ll reach an opt-in rate of over 30%!

Hey my affiliate pals,

After some very annoying searching, I finally found a good audio solution! It’s called KRwebaudio. I don’t know the link offhand, but you can get it off of download.com.

Anywho, I’ve got streaming audio on my page now! Check it out! Now you can hear your best affiliate friend’s voice! How sweet is that? I’ve wooed many a woman with that sucker there.

Anyway, I’ve got some family up visiting, so there might be limited activity over the next couple days. I’ll try to keep up! I’ve gotta get some more advertising done!

My page is building subscribers though… that’s a great sign! And it’s all thanks to the techniques I’ve outlined in my previous posts!

Video and Audio greatly increase conversion rate, so I’m going to get going on that quick!

Lastly, I’m going to take a look into some free traffic exchanges. These may be low quality traffic, but sometimes it’s worth it!

Bad news compadres, (Is that how to spell that?)

I woke up this morning to my PayPal account being limited! I rely on paypal to pay for my subscription to USFreeAds and to receive payments from PayDotCom!

So I check out why…

Apparently I bought into a pyramid scheme about 4 years ago… and they nabbed me for it now. I didn’t even own the site!

Luckily, I called up support… the site disappeared. Yup! The site is just plain gone! I got off the hook! Luckkkyyyy.

So now when I get my full account back I gotta pay for my USfreeads account (which I still recommend you go and sign up for.) Otherwise I can’t imagine the consequences! I have a lot riding on that little site! Tens of ads! Oh my!

Anyway, in advertising news…

Always promote yourself a little more friend. Always!

That being said, my list is already beginning to grow! I’ve got people signing up now! All through the techniques I’ve listen in my blog here!

Ah, there we go. My article is finished! Now I just have to wait for eZineArticles to get it through their system… which takes way to long.

I believe I’ll change up the article about 30-40% now and submit it lots more directory’s.

That there is a good tip kiddies. Write one really good article, change it up about 30-40%, and then submit that changed one to a LOT of directory’s.

This way, your good first article won’t be hit with any duplicate content penalties in the search engines, and your other articles provide back links to your page and still a trickle of clicks! Win-Win situation!

P.S. For anyone who doesn’t know, this article is a promotion for my site, abrecommends.com. I am currently building my own list and explaining all the tools I am using to direct traffic to the page.
The article was about headline writing, as that is what the free report I am giving away is on, and then at the end of the article I point them to my page if they want more information. Ingenious!

So I still haven’t written my article! I guess that’s because it’s the most annoying part of the marketing…

Don’t get me wrong, I like to write. I mean, why else would I have a blog? I’m going to do it before the end of the night.

The main reason why I haven’t don’t it yet is that I was having too much fun browsing forums and posting constructive feedback. That right there is a great way to get traffic anyhow, so I was at least helping my site out.

Anyway, I’m about to submit this blog to a couple social bookmarking sites for some traffic. I mean, this right here is an entertaining and informative blog that can help people make some money! Where can you go wrong!?

Oh, I’ve also signed up for the Warrior Forums today. These are very active and I don’t know why I wasn’t a member before… Oh well! Now I am!

Well, I got my page all set up and ready to go, and my auto responder is eager to start giving away those free reports on how to write great headlines!

We just need one more thing…

TRAFFIC!

Now I personally don’t like to use AdWords. I find I can get traffic without spending rash amounts of money… and I get more targeted clicks, too!

So, today I’m going to write a classified ad for my page, an article for my page, and post on a forum with my signature pointing back to my page. That right there is a little known traffic technique that can really bring some unexpected prospects. I would suggest you go ahead and add that to your traffic generating techniques!

Now I’m going to go to two of my favorite forums and just write a couple constructive posts!

For all you curious people out there, I like browse eWealth affiliate forums and Associate Programs forums.
